Welcome to Afri KDP (“AFRIKDP”, “we”, “our”, “platform”). Afri KDP is a unified digital ecosystem that enables authors to publish and sell digital content, and connects buyers with independent freelance professionals for publishing-related services.

By accessing or using the platform as an Author, Buyer, Affiliate, or Freelancer, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

Off-Platform Circumvention: Attempting to move payments or communications off the Afri KDP platform to avoid fees is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent account termination for both parties.

6. Author Content & Licensing

Authors retain full ownership of their intellectual property.

By uploading content (books, templates, etc.), authors grant Afri KDP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-based license to host, display, market, and distribute the digital files to buyers. This license remains active only while the content is published on Afri KDP.

7. Prohibited Content & Services

The following are strictly prohibited across the entire platform (Books and Freelance Gigs):

If a Buyer is unsatisfied with delivered work, they must request a revision. If the issue cannot be resolved, either party may raise a Dispute. Upon dispute, escrow funds are frozen and the Afri KDP Admin Mediation Team will review chat logs, requirements, and delivered files to make a binding, final decision on whether to refund the buyer or release funds to the freelancer.

Chargebacks initiated through financial institutions without prior mediation may result in immediate account review or access restrictions.

23. Reading Plans (AfriKDP Reads)

A reading plan is a paid subscription that lets you open books in the AfriKDP online reader without buying them. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of pages; a page counts once per book when it has been on screen for a few seconds. Unused pages do not roll over. Plans renew automatically at the listed dollar price, charged in Nigerian naira by Paystack at that day's rate, until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Introductory prices apply to a first subscription only. Books opened on a plan are not downloads; reader access ends when the plan ends, while books you bought outright remain in your library. Reading plans are for personal use by one person; sharing accounts, automated reading or reading arranged with an author to inflate earnings is prohibited and will be held or voided.

24. AI Features and Credits

AfriKDP AI features are provided as tools. Their output is generated automatically, may contain errors, and is your responsibility to review before publishing or relying on it. Credits are a unit of prepaid usage with no cash value; plan credits expire at the end of each billing period, purchased credits do not. Usage limits, prices and the features included in each plan may change, with existing periods honoured. We may suspend AI access for abuse, unlawful content or attempts to circumvent limits.

25. Gifts and Referrals

A gifted plan is a one-period subscription for the recipient and does not renew. Gifts are delivered by email to the address supplied by the buyer; we are not responsible for a mistyped address. Unclaimed gifts do not expire but are not refundable once paid, except as required by law. Referral rewards are paid in credits when the referred person starts a paid plan, may be withheld where we detect self-referral or abuse, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

26. Refunds, Chargebacks and Reversals for Plans

Subscription, credit and gift payments are for immediate digital access and are non-refundable except where required by law or agreed by us. If a payment is refunded, disputed or reversed, the access it paid for ends immediately, credits and pages granted are removed, and any author earnings generated from that payment are cancelled.

27. Modifications to Terms

Afri KDP reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms. We will notify users of material changes via email.

28. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
