Author Publishing Agreement

This Author Publishing Agreement is a legally binding contract between you (the "Author") and AFRIKDP. By uploading and publishing content on our platform, you agree to the following terms.

1. Copyright & Ownership

You retain 100% of your copyright. AFRIKDP does not claim ownership of your intellectual property. You are entirely free to publish, sell, or distribute your work on any other platforms simultaneously.

2. Grant of License

By publishing a digital book on AFRIKDP, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Host, store, and display your digital files securely on our servers.
• Distribute, sell, and deliver your content to users who purchase it.
• Use your book cover, title, description, and author name for promotional and marketing purposes.

3. Pricing & Distribution

You have sole discretion over the pricing of your work. You may offer your work for free, set a fixed price, or utilize our "Pay What You Want" model. AFRIKDP will collect payments on your behalf and distribute your royalties according to our Royalty & Withdrawal Policy.

4. Author Warranties & Representations

By uploading content, you guarantee that:

• You are the sole creator and copyright holder of the work, or you possess the explicit legal right to distribute it.
• Your work does not plagiarize or infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Your work does not contain illegal material, hate speech, or content that violates our Acceptable Use policies.

5. Moderation & Removal

AFRIKDP reserves the right to review, reject, or remove any content at any time, with or without notice, if we determine it violates this Agreement, our Community Guidelines, or poses a legal risk to the platform.

6. AfriKDP Reads (Subscription Reading Programme)

Unless you switch it off for a book, your book is available to AfriKDP reading-plan subscribers in the online reader. You are paid a fixed amount for each unique page a subscriber reads, at the rate published on the plans page at the time of reading (initially $0.006 per page, credited in naira at that day's rate). Earnings are shown on your dashboard immediately and move into your wallet after a holding period of seven days, after which they can be withdrawn under the Royalty Policy. Reading arranged or performed by you, your associates or automated means to inflate earnings is prohibited; such earnings will be held or voided and repeated abuse ends your participation. Earnings funded by a payment that is later refunded or reversed are cancelled. You may remove any book from AfriKDP Reads at any time from My Products.

7. AI Tools

AfriKDP AI tools (Copilot, Book Writer, analysis, metadata, marketing, translation, images and narration) read your manuscripts and sales data to produce suggestions and drafts. You remain the author and publisher of anything you publish: you are responsible for reviewing AI output for accuracy, originality and rights, and the warranties in this agreement apply to it. Book analysis is free; other tools use plan allowances or credits as published. We do not use your manuscripts to train AI models for third parties.

8. Termination

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by deleting your books from the platform and closing your account. Upon deletion, AFRIKDP will cease selling your work, though users who previously purchased your book will retain access to their downloaded copies.
