Where it all began

A setback that
became a movement.

Before Afri KDP existed, I was an author trying to do what millions of writers around the world do every day — publish books online and build a future through writing.

Like many African authors, I believed Amazon would be my breakthrough. I spent countless hours writing books, designing covers, learning publishing systems, studying algorithms, and building a catalog. Every sale felt like progress. Every review felt like validation.

That experience broke me. But it also gave me a new purpose. Instead of spending my energy trying to rebuild on someone else's platform, I decided to build something of our own.

That decision became Afri KDP.
