Holding God by His Word

There are seasons in life when everything around you seems to contradict what God has said.
You prayed, but the answer has not come.
You believed, but the situation appears to be getting worse.
You trusted God, yet the door remains closed.
You received a promise from Scripture, but your circumstances seem to be telling you the
opposite.
What do you do when you cannot see what God promised?
You hold on to His Word.
Holding God by His Word does not mean trying to force God to do something He never
promised. It means trusting the character of God and standing firmly on what He has actually
spoken.
God is faithful.
His character does not change because your circumstances change. His truth does not become
false because your emotions are unstable. His promises do not lose their power because the
waiting season has become long.
